【嘉宾介绍】
Humphrey Hawksley, Author, 62, is a best-selling author of international thrillers. His stories draw on his long experience as an award-winning BBC foreign correspondent which has taken him all over the world, and he has been based in Colombo, Delhi, Manila, Hong Kong and Beijing. His work has been published in most mainstream international media such as the New York Times and the Guardian. His academic lectures include New York’s Columbia Business School, University College London and Cambridge University. He is a regular speaker at venues such as Intelligence Squared and the Royal Geographical Society and has presented his work and moderated at literary festivals. His recent books include the thriller, Security Breach and the non-fiction Democracy Kills: What’s So Good About Having the Vote, an examination of Western intervention in the Middle East. Humphrey now believes that with global attention on the Asia-Pacific, this will become a fertile ground for new thriller writing.
